Alicia Keys Returns to AlUla

Cheers and screams were heard from the audience as Alicia Keys returned to AlUla’s award-winning mirror-clad arts and cultural venue Maraya for her concert. This was Keys' second time performing in Saudi Arabia.

Alicia Keys performed an amazing rendition of her hit single ‘Girl on Fire’ alongside the Dar AlUla traditional band during her concert in Saudi Arabia’s ancient city on Friday 24th February. The Dar AlUla traditional band opened up the show highlighting Saudi musical culture.

The concert and the Women to Women event were part of a collaboration between the RCU and Good Intentions, a global, Saudi-based creative consultancy co-founded last year by Keys’s husband, producer Kasseem “Swizz Beatz” Dean, and Saudi native Noor Taher.

On Saturday, the second edition of the Women to Women panel series took place in AlUla. Click here to read about last years event. The panel highlighted the challenges women face and shared their experiences of strength, determination, and the importance of success in their sectors.

This year’s discussion focused on highlighting a future-forward mindset, with the questions: “How can women become each other’s resource and continue their long-standing heritage of legacy-making?” and “how can women benefit from each other’s wisdom to nurture the collective?” Guests who attended the panel discussion were, Rasha Alkhamis, Saudi Arabia’s first female boxer. Mashael Alobeidan - professional rally driver and Hafsa Alkhudairi, writer and arts and culture initiatives lead at the Royal Commission for AlUla.
